Sea Moss Gel FAQs

How is your Sea Moss Gel prepared?

The Sea Moss Guy Inc. is CFIA licensed. All orders are prepared and packaged in a commercial kitchen facility, where all staff is food handler certified. Our products are natural, with no artificial additives or preservatives, to ensure you are receiving the best.

To prepare Sea Moss Gel, our Dried Sea Moss is cleaned and soaked with spring water and a squeeze of key lime juice. The soaked Sea Moss is then blended with spring water and frozen. This method is used to help preserve all of the minerals/vitamins and maximize the benefits.

How do I use Sea Moss Gel?

Due to its versatile texture, minimal smell, and minimal taste, Sea Moss Gel can be consumed on its own or added to your favorite smoothie, protein shake, tea, or juice recipe. You can even use this product to make your own salad dressing, dip for fruit, face mask, or hydrating hair mask. It also makes for a great vegan thickening agent when cooking soups, sauces, and stews.

This product must be kept sealed and refrigerated. It is recommended to consume 1-2 tablespoons per day.  Please also use care to avoid cross-contamination by always using clean utensils.

What is the difference between the colors?

Certain colors contain Phytonutrients that offer additional benefits which are unique to them. We recommend starting with the gold for first-time users as the purple is known to have additional antioxidants and a slightly stronger smell/taste.

We recommend the 16oz jar for one person who is consuming the recommended daily dosage.

The 32oz jar is recommended for customers who will be sharing the product with other members of their household or for customers who want to use the Sea Moss Gel as a face and hair mask as well.

Can I freeze Sea Moss Gel?

Absolutely! If you have a lot of Sea Moss Gel and are worried about it going bad, try scooping it into ice cube trays and freezing it to increase the shelf life from 3 weeks to 3 months. Sea Moss ice cubes are convenient and easy to add to your smoothies, soups, or porridge. You can also use them on your face in the mornings to help reduce puffiness, shrink pores and brighten your skin. Please note that our jars are freezer safe too.
Can Sea Moss Gel be shipped without it spoiling?
Yes, our Sea Moss Gel can be shipped within Canada anywhere that same or next-day shipping services are available. Thermal packaging and ice packs are used to maintain the condition of the product. For customers outside of Canada, shipping options are available for our Dried Sea Moss, which comes with easy-to-follow instructions for preparing your own Sea Moss Gel at home.
