Sea Moss Bath Bomb Recipe
Perfect for: Relaxation, skin hydration, and an at-home spa experience
Sea moss isn’t just for eating — it’s amazing for your skin too. Rich in sulfur, magnesium, and antioxidants, it helps soothe irritation, improve skin texture, and lock in moisture. These DIY bath bombs turn your soak into a mineral-rich, skin-loving experience that feels as good as it looks.
Ingredients
-
1 cup baking soda
-
½ cup citric acid
-
½ cup cornstarch
-
½ cup Epsom salts
-
2 tbsp sea moss powder (made with Dried Sea Moss)
-
1 tbsp melted coconut oil or shea butter
-
1 tsp water (as needed)
-
10–15 drops essential oil (lavender, eucalyptus, or vanilla)
-
Optional: dried herbs or flower petals for decoration
Instructions
-
In a large bowl, mix the baking soda, citric acid, cornstarch, Epsom salts, and sea moss powder.
-
In a separate small bowl, combine coconut oil, essential oil, and a teaspoon of water.
-
Slowly add the wet mixture to the dry mixture, a little at a time, stirring constantly. The texture should feel like damp sand — press it together and it should hold its shape.
-
Pack the mixture tightly into bath bomb molds.
-
Let them dry at room temperature for 24–48 hours before removing from molds.
To Use:
Drop one bath bomb into warm water and watch it fizz! Soak for at least 15–20 minutes to let the sea moss minerals absorb into your skin.
Shelf Life & Storage:
Store in an airtight container or glass jar for up to 3 months in a cool, dry place. Keep away from humidity to prevent premature fizzing.
